Our Solar Accreditations
Sunrays Power has always strived to provide excellent customer service and quality solar installations. The continuous training of our staff and stringent quality inspections as part of accreditation accompany our partnerships with Tesla, LG, QCells, and REC.
We have a team of accredited solar installers located in Brisbane and Melbourne. Only electricians who are SAA-accredited installers are able to install systems under the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES).
What does it mean to be an accredited solar installer in Australia?
Using an accredited solar installer not only means you’re using someone with the relevant electrical licence, approved training qualification and equipment; it’s an investment in the longevity and efficiency of your solar system.
In Australia, accredited installers are certified by Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA).
Using an accredited installer means:
- Accessing Rebates: Rebate programs and schemes, like the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme, will require that you use an SAA-certified professional.
- Well-trained Professionals: SAA requires that solar installers pursue continuing professional development (CPD) in order to stay at the cutting edge of renewable energy technology.
- Safety: You’re putting your home and even your health in the hands of the person who installs your solar equipment. It might sound dramatic, but improperly installed equipment can truly be dangerous.
- Insurance: SAA-certified providers will need to have public liability insurance, the right qualifications to work at heights, and the right electrical licences.
New Energy Technology Approved Seller (NETCC)
Sunrays Power is committed to providing a higher standard of service and quality towards all our clients. The New Energy Technology Consumer Code (NETCC) is a voluntary code for Australian solar retailers.
NETCC is run by a council of six peak industry and consumer bodies: Clean Energy Council, Australian Energy Council, Consumer Action Law Centre, Energy Consumers Australia, Energy Networks Australia and Renew.
The council manages the code of conduct and ensures that all signatories always comply with its strict requirements. The NETCC is the current code endorsed by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC). By being a signatory of NETCC, Sunrays Power commits itself to providing a higher standard of quality and service towards our customers. Our aim is to lift the Australian Solar Industry bar higher than the minimum requirements set out by the government and regulations.
By upholding the relevant code, we provide our customers with greater confidence. You can be assured that you are buying a quality product from a company that follows all relevant consumer protection laws and is prepared to back the operation of your solar system for at least five years.
CEC Accredited Designer
Our solar designers inspect every aspect of your solar PV system to ensure the optimal design for increased performance.
Our Solar Designers are licensed and accredited to design and oversee the installation of rooftop solar systems for our clients.
Our Designers inspect and ensure every aspect of your solar PV system meets the CEC design requirements. Not only do our designers provide our clients with the most optimal design for increased performance, but they also ensure the safety of our installers and clients during the installation process.
We have partnered with Certified Installers who are trained to install Powerwall and adhere to strict quality, permitting and inspection requirements.
It is not a title they give out lightly, as it is a mark of their trust in, and support for, the installers it is given to. The Tesla Powerwall Certification is only given to installers who have consistently displayed excellent installation quality and fantastic customer experience.
Tesla’s vision for an independent renewable energy future, where people can rely on their own home systems, might have once been considered radical in the past, but it’s a vision we share. We couldn’t be prouder to stand with them on this path and do our part in helping Australians gain greater energy independence by including a Tesla Powerwall system with their solar PV system. LG Solar Loyalty Partner

Added to their already vast portfolio, LG Electronics is one of the world’s leading premium quality solar panel producers, only producing high-efficiency solar modules (maximum solar power per unit area, and module output of up to 400 W (120 Halfcut-cells)) with stringent production quality criteria.
A strict quality standard is followed during the manufacturing of LG solar modules, which extends beyond the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) Test Standards. In this way, LG can manufacture solar modules which are consistent in quality, reliability, and longevity stability.
LG has also created an accreditation that guarantees their solar products are installed to a high degree of accuracy to accompany their strict quality criteria.

The New Energy Tech Consumer Code (NETCC) is endorsed by the ACCC to help ensure solar retailers are acting ethically and transparently. It seeks to ensure that solar customers are being given the right information needed to safely set up their systems.
Continuing professional development (CPD) is a mandatory part of accreditation in Australia. CPD can focus on a number of things: regulatory compliance, safety, and emerging technologies.
To design and install solar in Australia, you will need both electrical training and licensing, as well as specialised training. There are specific training programs related to grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) systems, batteries, and standalone power systems: these will need to be taken separately.
While specific rebate schemes or product certifications may be state-based, solar accreditation schemes are generally managed at a federal, Australia-wide level.
